Moshup is a quintessential alpaca with a bloodline that is proven strong and confident.
His sire, Pietro, is considered a trademark male who is a medium fawn with grey and browns in his lineage, throws all colors, from beautiful black and browns, to the buttery soft beige of Moshup.
Moshup has heavy bone, and his fleece is very dense, fine, with excellent crimp with excessive coverage.
We are pleased to say that Moshup has qualities that would make his sire proud. Moshup boasts 18.6 micron, like his sire of 21 micron at nearly three years of age.
His dam, AOCR Carlie Rose has high quality traits that she too has passed down from her sire the wonderful Peruvian Millar and her grandsire Caligula.
The name Moshup comes from the legendary character of respect and charity from the Wampanoags, a Native American tribe on the island of Martha's Vineyard. You can learn more about the derivation, by going to the Wamanoag Tribes site.
