Directions:

From Up Island: From West Tisbury/Edgartown Road, take the first left past the airport onto Barnes Road. At the 4-way intesection turn left. Travel 2/10 of a mile and turn left onto Head of the Pond Road. Entrance is the first drive on the left (Look for Alpaca Avenue.)*

From Vineyard Haven: From State Road take Edg-VH Road. Go Appx. 2 miles and turn right onto Head of the Pond Road. Entrance is the first drive on the left (Look for Alpaca Avenue.) Warning: Do not take a left onto Head of Pond Road.*

From Oak Bluffs: From the start of Circuit Avenue, travel appx. 4 miles, (road turns into Barnes Road). At the 4-way blinking light turn right onto Edg-Vh Road . Travel 2/10 of a mile and turn left onto Head of the Pond Road. Entrance is the first drive on the left (Look for Alpaca Avenue.)*

From Edgartown: From the start of Triangle in Edgartown, travel along Edg/VH Road appx. 4 miles. After the 4-way blinking light, stop, and go straight, 2/10 of a mile and turn left onto Head of the Pond Road. Entrance is the first drive on the left (Look for Alpaca Avenue.)*

*Park, and follow the alpaca signs to the barn.

By Bus: Island Alpaca is easily reached by Vineyard Transit Bus route:

Take the following buses:

From VH: Take the number 1 bus, and ask to get off at Head of the Pond Road, just before the 4-way blinker... Walk down Head of the Pond Road, and take the first left-- just one minute away

From EDG: Take the number 1 bus, and ask to get off at Head of the Pond Road, just after the 4-way blinker... Walk down Head of the Pond Road, and take the first left-- just one minute away

From OB: Take the number 7 or 9 bus, and ask to get off at the 4-way blinker. Head of the Pond Road is the first left as you walk 2/10 of one mile towards Vineyard Haven on the Edg/VH road, find us on the the left.

Visiting Hours:

This October Island Alpaca welcomes visitors, Friday to Sunday, 1-5 pm, rain or shine! Also open Columbus Day, Monday, October 13, from 1-5 pm.
