FACTOID:
Viscose: Making viscose begins with wood pulp, and manufacturers often use different sources such as bamboo. The wood cellulose is treated, then allowed to age, before being treated again. Manufacturers spin the resulting product and wash it through water baths. It is then extracted to produce threads or other forms necessary in different applications. Since it begins with wood, it is not a synthetic material.
Polyamide is very similar to polyester. In more technical terms, where polyester monomers (the individual pieces that get chemically linked together to form a polymer or plastic) are linked together by carbon-oxygen bonds, polyamide monomers use carbon-nitrogen bonds.
In the textile industry, polyamide however, is more commonly known as nylon. Both polyester and polyamide are beneficial in clothing because they are sturdy and wrinkle resistant.
