Join us for an exciting session of Alpaca Discovery most mornings in season, 9-10:30 am, (or by appointment-2 person class minimum). Adults welcome!

A fun farm experience for any alpaca lover age 8 or older; (Younger participants welcomed with attending parent/guardian). Also for adults who are thinking about owning alpaca, or just curious to learn more about them. Come and discover the world of the alpaca!

Every participant will learn the basics of alpaca care, as well as where alpaca come from and why they are important to us. Participants will also meet the herd, including our newest babies. Children will get involved in hands-on activities such as barn chores, feeding, halter training, and, if luck should have it, witness the birth of a new herd member. (Our alpaca give birth May to September). 

Program Time: Join us for an exciting session of Alpaca Discovery available most every morning, 9-10:30 am. Rain or Shine!

Registration: Cost is $25 per person per session. ($20 for attending parent or guardian).  Payments may be made by telephone, or here, or by check (payable to Island Alpaca Co.) in person at the farm prior to program day, or by mail. Registration form must accompany payment to confirm space in the program. All registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. We encourage you to register as soon as possible to avoid disappointment, as spaces in the program are limited to ensure a quality experience for participants and alpaca alike.

What To Bring: Sturdy, comfortable shoes or boots, and a rain-gear if rain is predicted.  On wet or muddy days, please bring indoor shoes to change into.
