All soaps contain fresh fir needles and dried powder with fir needle essential and fragrance oils. Every batch is slightly different. The face of the soap is the first pour without the fir needles for appearance, appeal, and to give your soap a smooth side. The second pour is packed with fir needle powder for fragrance, fir needle property benefits, and the loofah side.
Bathing with this fir needle soap is an experience!
These glycerin soaps are made with bases of saponified oils (sodium hydroxide added to oils to create soapiness) Saponified oil soaps are about as close to natural or organic as you can get. All our soaps contain 15-20% vegetable glycerin. Glycerin is a great humectant (moisturizer) because it attracts moisture from the air to your skin rather than absorbing moisture from your skin and drying it out. That being said, it also attracts moisture to your bar of soap if it is sitting in a continuous humid environment. You will notice that your bar of soap will sparkle with dew. It can actually be quite attractive and is harmless. You are going to wet your soap to use it anyway and the "glycerin dew" is moisture drawn from the air not the soap. They sometimes call it sweating but that isn't the same thing as a human body sweating. When your body sweats, the moisture is coming from inside your skin. Glycerin is absorbing moisture from the air. Like rain...it's just water....enjoy it!
