Salvatore (Talon's Salvatore of Island Alpaca)

Salvatore's fleece is a beautiful bay black that is very fine and lustrous and his conformation and bite are prefect!

His sire is our very own Magic's Talon, a champion and multiple blue ribbon winner with a very strong grey genetic background.

Salvatore is one alpaca with a very sweet and curious personality. 

At the Big E Alpaca Show in 2013, Salvatore did amazing for the obstacle course and public relations. He and with his partner and staff member Ashleigh Plante, went through the obstacle like there was nothing in their way. Amazing considering this was both their first times doing it! And in the end they both won the blue for both obstacle courses. Talk about great teamwork!

Heritage: Peruvian and Chilean

Sally is an amazing young female and one of the most attentive moms on the farm.

Along with a very pleasing but shy personality she has very soft fine dense fiber terrific coverage and a beautiful face. Her sire, Alacante, son Pperuvian Camilio, is a multiple blue ribbon winner, and has been quoted as having fleece like a rug.

In 2005 Sally has blessed us with Pietro, a male, with incredible fineness; he was 18.5 Micron at 1-1/2 years old and just at 21.5 at nearly three years of age! With incredible luster and very high frequency crimp Pietro is abundantly covered with this fine fiber from his top-knot to his toes. He adds tremendous fineness to his offspring, as did Mustang Sally with him! 

Sally gave us Apollo's Victory, whose sire was the Royal Peruvian Eros, who again, has been proven to be, yet another fine, lustrous gentleman.

Her 2010 cria, equally impressive results: Estrada's Seina, with a micron in the 17's. If you like browns, she is your girl!

Please note, Sally herself took a third place ribbon in a strong class at the New England Coastal Classic.

Magic's Talon

Each of Talon's first offspring took either a first place, Blue Ribbon and/or a Color Championship, to include September, 2010 at the Big E Alpaca Show. Lunette, (Seven alpaca in her class) took a first-place blue ribbon, and even more outstanding, a color champion banner for all browns with over twenty alpaca in total. Once again, Lunette took the blue in the "Bred and Owned" class, showing in a class of fifteen -up against the best of the best, including white blue ribbon winners! Very, very impressive for a brown! Talon's Purl, another offspring from 2009, took a blue, first place win, in her class of grey yearlings. 

Kudo's to Talon-with award-winning fiber that is just outstanding - which we know now, he passes along to his offspring! It's incredibly dense, with amazing character and high-frequency, tight, even crimp (from skin to his tips), fineness and luster! Add to that an absolutely even in color, spot-free blanket. Talon is the picture-perfect grey.

Talon, at the Alpaca Festival of Oregon, 2010, took the Reserve Color Championship for his fleece, with 16 alpaca in the competition, ten juvi's and yearlings included. Talon was the oldest with the exception of one competitor. Impressive for five years of age! Show results found here.

Amanda VandenBosch judging, gave him a 19 out of a 20 point score for fineness and handle, commenting "good evenness on fleece!" An amazing win = amazing fleece = amazing herd sire!
