Calvin (IAC Calvin)

Calvin has exquisite fiber, uniform in density, crimp, fineness and handle.

Calvin in his first year of growth sheared over 6% of his body weight in fleece..(common average is below 4%. 5-1/2 pounds in just 10 months of growth! He also has solid bone and a gentle temperament.

His pedigree is outstanding; Calvin's Sire Andean Bronze was one of the Snowmass' top males. His half brothers include the nations top huacaya studs including: Snowmass Royal Flush, Snowmass Andian Pride, Snowmass Royal Bronze, Snowmass Conquistador and the list continues. Now as a stud at Cas-Cad-Nac farm, where his current stud fee is $5000. His grandsires are the famous 4Peruvian Andean Gold and Peruvian Chaccu!

His grand-sire, 4Peruvian Andean Gold, was an import from the Macusani region in Peru and has passed down his superior genes to IAC Calvin.

Snowmass Tranquility

Tranquility is a terrific alpaca in her own right; she reveals not only  conformational, but fleece qualities that one would seek in a solid foundation female. Add to this her wonderful history of top notch production and you have an enticing package to consider!

Her lineage is terrific too; Tranquility is a Snowmass Royal Rose daughter, known by many as "the maker of champions who makes champions": See her sires impressive resume below!

Tranquility is a terrific mom.. the most conscientious of all the dams here at Island Alpaca. She is the most watchful, and nurturing to her cria.

We are not excited to sell her, as she has produced some marvelous offspring. We have two beautiful cria at the farm, Frida and Calvin, that will remain in our herd, carrying on her terrific genitics.

Snowmass Andean Bronze

Andean Bronze is that exceptional dark colored alpaca whose fiber is like velvet. With a four year histogram of 20.5, 4.0, 19.6, 2.0, he has fiber stats that surpass the vast majority of his light colored brethren. He has shown the ability to consistently pass those attributes onto his offspring who have been a dominant force on the show circuit for a while now.
