of Island Alpaca... Newscast appeared that evenings broadcast and twice the following day. --
Our goal: The White House lawn! Video can be found on our homepage. - Very
upbeat messages were delivered at this year's Governor's Conference on
Travel & Tourism, organized by MOTT and sponsored, in part, by the
Cape Cod Chamber. Research and trends indicate a movement toward
pre-recession business activity for the hospitality industry. A
prediction of 2-3% growth for the industry was well accepted by those
in the room, many reporting strong advance bookings.
Chairwomen Eileen Donoghue (Senate) and Sarah Peake
(House) spoke to several hundred industry people at the Governor's
Conference reception at the State House on Tuesday, expressing their
support for adequate tourism promotion resources and thanking the
industry for its local job creation. Senator Dan Wolf, Reps Turner and
Vieira also were at the event, as participants in the Tourism Arts
& Culture Development Committee. Pictured in photo: Senator Eileen Donoghue, Chamber CEO Wendy Northcross, Representative Sarah Peake and Senator Dan Wolf)
