Marcella (Estrada's Marcella of Island Alpaca) |
Marcella is another one of the farms curious alpacas who is a gorgeous medium brown female. She has her dam Molly's gentle and caring nature and her sire's CT Estrada's looks and stature. Her sire has won multiple champions and blues and her dam's lineage has quite a bit of grey in it and she's had five cria so far, three of them being grey! Maybe Marcella will do the same!

Skyview Molly
Molly is a young tried and true mom, with a very inquisitive personality. Because Molly has blessed Island Alpaca with both a wonderful male and four females, Ansel and Annie, Aquinnah, Jolly, and Estrada's Marcella, a meduim brown female @ 14.9 micron this past year! This allows us to offer a wonderful proven female still in the midst of her reproductive career. Molly has been bred to our well decorated, multiple champion, Talon for Late July, early August, 2011 cria.
a light, silver grey, who has just begun his breeding career. Talon has substantial bone and excellent conformation. He is a proud, erect male with just beautiful lines to him. He's the picture perfect grey with a SPOT FREE blanket. His fiber is exhibiting high amplitude narrow crimp, very evenly distributed from topknot to legs, something every judge has commented on. He has rock solid grey genetics, a total of twelve grey's on his ARI.
At the 2007 GWAS, Judge Amanda Vandenbosch commented on Talons well-balanced body style. She was impressed with his staple length, soft hand, tremendous density and his architectural style all through out!
Judge Wade Gease, who placed him third (A.L Paca's Revolution, an 11 time Champ took first) said in his comments that the three top animals were virtually equal, and that he actually preferred Talon's fleece style. Talon's tight crimp does extend throughout the entire staple.
Judge Kristen Buhrman commented on his overall balance, and again, his amazing crimp.
Talon has placed very well at every show he's entered, both in Colorado, and now here in the East Coast shows as well, winning a Championship for his fleece in 2010. We couldn't be happier with him. |

Chase Tavern Estrada
Estrada is a well-balanced male from two top parents. His Sire, Evander does it again with this amazingly dense, fine fleece male with a great handle and luster, extensive coverage and a great body. With his 2010 shearing, Estrada had over 10 pounds of fleece, which is an incredible 6+% of his overall body weight! We are very excited to have Estrada in our breeding program. Alpaca judge, Wade Gease has said about Estrada, "He is the "complete package". Very nice fleece style and crimp formation throughout. He has kept his fineness/softness." Also, recently, Judge David Barboza has said about Estrada: "His architecture and density is incredible! Spot on!" And Alpaca Fleece Judge, Cheryl Gehly has written: "Wow! Fine with great character! Quite uniform for micron." "Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". awarding him first place in the competition, and again, after the fleeces third showing at the 2009 Empire Symposium and Fleece Event, she commented again; "Beautiful Fleece: fine, bright, well organized!". Most recent fleece circuit, Estrada's fleece (its fourth showing) took yet another blue at PAOBA show, May, 2009.
To date, Estrada has multiple Champ/Reserve Championships, and over twenty first-place, blue-ribbon awards. See the details of his show record below, most in very competitive classes! In 2009, Estrada's Fleece won the reserve Championship, and took first place in his class over another amazing alpaca who won the 2008 Futurity Championship that had 54 entries in the class!
Both dam and sire have produced Championship winners so his future is extremely promising indeed.
Estrada is settling females. Traditional farm breedings with confirmed pregnancy, stud fee: $2,500, $2,000, mobile*, and $1,500 for drive-by breeding.
Please compare this champ to other herd-sires with similar show records. You will find him to be a terrific value! |
